Scalp Psoriasis

Dandruff
(Pityriasis Capitis)
Characterized by white flakes and mild itching, dandruff is often caused by an overgrowth of yeast on the scalp, dryness, or sensitivity to hair products.
Oily Scalp
Excess oil production makes the scalp greasy, often leading to limp hair, clogged follicles, and sometimes irritation or flaking.
Seborrheic Dermatitis
A more intense form of dandruff that leads to red, greasy, and scaly patches on the scalp. It’s linked to overactive oil glands and yeast imbalance.
Understanding Hair Types
Terminal Hair
Thick, pigmented hairs that make up the scalp, beard, underarms, and other areas. These hairs are long, coarse, and most visible.
Intermediate Hair
Hairs that fall between vellus and terminal—usually finer and lighter than terminal hairs, but thicker than vellus. They can transition into terminal hair.
Vellus Hair
Soft, fine, nearly invisible hairs that cover most of the body. They help regulate temperature but provide little to no pigment.
Treatments for Hair & Scalp Health
